Lewisville's Premier Live Music, Pizza and Sports
Hat Tricks Sports Bar in Lewisville has quickly built itself into one of the top music venues in Texas. With its small stature (350 person capacity) its a fantastic place to see "Big Names in a Small Venue". After doing its first show only 5 years ago, Hat Tricks boasts a very well rounded and impressive list of artists who have graced its stage..... Ray Wylie Hubbard, Billy Joe Shaver, Cody Canada (Cross Canadian Ragweed), Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen, Jason Boland, Cory Morrow, Micky and the Motorcars, Aaron Watson, Walt Wilkins, Brandon Jenkins, Bleu Edmondson, No Justice, Vallejo, Deryl Dodd, Mike McClure, Max Stalling, Johnny Cooper, Chris Knight, Honeybrowne, Devon Allman and Honeytribe, Roger Creager, Zac Brown Band, Bart Crow, Brandon Rhyder, Jon Christopher Davis, Tommy Alverson, Mike Mancy, Larry Joe Taylor, Gary Kyle, Sam Sliva, and even such unique acts as Monte Montgomery, Eric Sardinas, Alligator Dave, Smokin' Joe Kubek, along with Hat Tricks favorites like Stoney Larue and Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights and Odis, Hat Tricks does more than just "Red Dirt- Texas Country" and is one of the rare places that is truely well rounded. Hat Tricks has also become a familiar place for some of the top cover bands in Dallas like Back in Black, Red Leather, Poison Cherry, LeFreak, Blaze of Glory, Escape.... just to name a few.
"My Dad started taking me to shows when I was really young and music has always been a huge part of our family". "I remember my parents having house parties with all of their friends and after dinner and a few drinks.... such legends as Ed Bruce (who wrote Willie Nelsons hit Mama's Dont Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys), the legendary Charlie Pride(who has over 30 #1 Hits to his credit), Steve Wariner whos resume includes 3 Grammys and his #1 Hits include "Holes in the Floor of Heaven" "The Weekend", and "Some Fools Never Learn" just to name a few. Neil McCoy who totes two #1 Hits and 3 muiltiplatnum selling CD's, Collin Raye who was nominated for Academy of Country Musics Male Vocalist of the Year 3 straight years and has 15 #1 hits such as "I think About You" "Love Me" and "Little Rock" would be in our living room picking guitar, playing piano, and singing. Looking back now its really amazing some of the people who played in my parents living room".
Then somewhere around 1999 some friends took me to see Pat Green in Wichita Falls. Without knowing it, two of Pats band members (Justin Pollard and Brendon Anthony) were old elementry school classmates of mine. At a Billybobs show 3-4 months later hanging out back stage I got to meet up with Justin again and I started following their band... it kind of restarted my interest in live music and in one way or another has lead to some of the best times in my life and to me meeting many of my closest friends that I really consider family. Cody Canada and the entire crew from Ragweed always use the words brother, family and love... and I saw how seriously they took all of those things and it made a very lasting impression on me.. I never take for granted the great friendships I have made since meeting this fantastic group of people... the bands, booking agents, management, radio, road managers, venue owners, and fans. The most badass part of doing our live music at Hat Tricks has been the relationships that have come out of it and to see friends such as Stoney Larue, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Randy Rogers, Wade Bowen, Jason Boland, Devin Leigh, Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights, Johnny Cooper, Blue Edmondson, Odis, achieve so much success and really see them carry the torch for music in this part of the country to people all over the world. We have been very blessed to have such great people and musicians here on a weekly basis and we owe them a HUGE THANK YOU for playing our place.... IT IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE ABOUT THE MUSIC.... THE MUSIC IS BIGGER THAN ANY BOOKING AGENCY, BAND, VENUE, RADIO STATION, ETC.
All of these things have had a huge hand in the shows we put on here at Hat Tricks. We really just enjoy having great music in our place and have been lucky enough to have a lot of very talented musicians play Hat Tricks...... we hope yall will come support great live music....
